Braunschweig Pride

Braunschweig Pride is called "Sommerlochfestival | CSD Braunschweig" and is Braunschweig lebian, gay, bisexuell and transgender, -sexual politic event with a cultural touch.
Since 1996 the Sommerlochfestival | CSD Braunschweig take place every year in the City of Braunschweig and its region.

At its beginning as a one day streetfestival at the edge of the City center it is today the biggest pride event between Hamburg, Berlin und Cologne.
The Sommerlochfestival | CSD Braunschweig is today a two week program with multiple politic, informative and cultural events in and arround Braunschweig. The CSD Parade through the Citycenter of Braunschweig and a two day demonstration in the heart of the town as well as the official closing Pride Party .

The aims of the Sommerlochfestival | CSD Braunschweig are to empower the integration lesbian, gay, bisexuals, transgender und transsexual people in the region against discrimination and to demonstrate for the social and political equalisationund as well as the  acceptability multiple ways of life and give room for lesbian, gay,bisexual, transgender  culture and art.

A non profit Team organize and create each year the speical politic event with cultural touch. The Organisation " Verein für sexuelle Emanzipation e. V. (VSE e. V.)", foundet in 1989, is the host of the Sommerlochfestival | CSD Braunschweig.
